Find out about requirements, fees, and deadlines

First-year

Applicants who are still in high school may apply for admission as an undergraduate student starting after high school graduation in the middle of the junior year. Transcripts with grades posted through mid-year are required to be considered for admission. First-time freshmen have not attended a regionally accredited college or university after graduating from high school.

Transcripts may be submitted through an electronic service, or uploaded, or sent by U.S. mail.

First-time freshmen with a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.4 or higher will be fully admitted. First-time freshmen with a GPA of 2.39 and below will be provisionally admitted to SUU and the Comprehensive Academic Support & Success (COMPASS) program. Students with a cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.39 and below may be admitted after a secondary review.

The priority deadline for our application and scholarships is December 1st with the regular deadline being March 1st.

Transfer

Having credits from another school isn’t a problem if you want to transfer to SUU. With a robust transfer guide and admissions advisors to help you find your perfect major and figure out everything financial, you’ll be set up for success as a T-Bird.

Students who have earned 24 post-high school credits would be considered for admission on the basis of their transcript of college work. Official transcripts must be sent to SUU Admissions from ALL schools that students have attended. If fewer than 24 post-high school transferable credits, an official high school transcript will need to be provided.

Use this guide to see how your credits will transfer from your previous school. If we’ve articulated the credit before, it will be listed in this guide. If not, the course will go to the SUU Registrar’s Office to be processed in two to four weeks after you apply, pay your application fee and send in your transcripts.

Official transcripts for all colleges and universities attended are required for admission. Transcripts must be submitted directly from the previous school(s) to SUU via:

Electronic Transcript Service, such as: National Transcript Clearinghouse, Parchment, eScrip-Safe, etc.
