A first-year student is anyone who graduated high school without attending a higher education institution post high school graduation. Current high school students involved in dual enrollment are considered first-time in college students.
A transfer student is anyone who has attended another higher education institution for any period of time post high school graduation. Current high school students involved in dual enrollment are considered first-time in college students. Transfer students are evaluated primarily on the basis of their college-level work unless they have less than 30 college credits completed.
It's easy and fun to visit Stetson University! We provide information sessions and campus tours Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., and on designated Saturdays at 10 a.m. We also have Open House events where you'll meet with faculty and current students while learning what life is like as a Hatter. And if you want to know what life is really like as a student here, we invite you to stay overnight on campus for a Shadow Visit.
