SUNY New Paltz First Year applicants should have graduated from high school or its equivalent and have not taken any college coursework since they completed high school. New Paltz looks for a strong college prep program. Applicants are reviewed by academic year so that we can get a clear year-by-year picture of achievement.
SUNY New Paltz considers any student who has taken coursework at an accredited college, other than SUNY New Paltz, after high school graduation a transfer student. Transfer applicants must submit official college transcripts from each college they have attended. Students with less than 45 Liberal Arts credits completed may be required to submit additional materials such as high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores.
