First Year applicants must be graduates of an accredited secondary school or have evidence of equivalent education. Regents-level classes are a minimum requirement for New York state applicants, with Advanced Placement and honors courses carrying the most weight. A challenging college preparatory program is highly recommended. Admissions decisions are based on a variety of factors including high school GPA and coursework, the results of SAT or ACT exams (if student chooses), extracurricular activities, essays and letters of recommendation.
