With more than 40,000 students, the Temple University community is diverse, driven and dedicated to making a real difference in the world. Temple offers the advantages of a large research institution and the individual attention of a small college, with a 14:1 student-to-faculty ratio. More than 150 undergraduate majors across 17 schools and colleges empower students to explore, discover and transform curiosity into action. Our Main Campus is located just north of downtown Philadelphia. The city is our home, our inspiration and our pathway to professional and cultural experiences—but our reach is global, with campuses worldwide.

Additional Information

What to Know Before You Apply
  • Students are accepted based on Rolling Admissions and Early Action and have a greater chance of being accepted by applying before the Early Action deadline, though decisions are never binding.
  • Most incoming first-year students—more than 90 percent—commit to Temple’s Fly in 4 program, an innovative plan that helps students limit their debt by graduating in four years.
  • Temple offers a variety of financial aid, including grants, loans, scholarships and work-study programs. Last year, Temple awarded more than $100 million in scholarships, and 70% of first-year students received need-based financial aid. [1]
  • Students can choose to apply using the Temple Option. Instead of submitting SAT or ACT scores, this allows students to submit self-reflective short answers to questions.
