The University of Dayton has two deadlines for submitting your admission materials: Early action (non-binding): November 1 and Regular decision: February 1. You will automatically be considered for merit scholarships — worth up to $31,000 per year for four years — when you apply for admission. We are committed to transparent affordability, and our innovative approach to tuition provides peace of mind when it comes to costs.

Transfer

A transfer student has completed high school and has earned college credit after finishing high school. Transfer application deadlines: Fall term: Early Action- February 1, Regular Decision- July1 Spring term: December 1 Summer term: April 15. All full-time transfer students receive a $16,000 transfer scholarship and may be eligible for an Academic Excellence Award, based on combined cumulative college GPA. Our transparent tuition plan means you will understand the full cost of your UD degree upfront. That means there are no surprises, so you can be confident in our costs and plan for your success.

Additional Information

Community
In our diverse, inclusive learning community, we respect the dignity of each person and work together for the common good. That’s why 80% of students choose to live on campus in residence halls, apartments or our unique porch-clad student neighborhood all four years. And with more than 250 student clubs and organizations, we make sure you have every opportunity to pursue your interests and talents or discover something new. Our Multi-Ethnic Education and Engagement Center (MEC) is a popular place on campus that provides a strong community and space for underrepresented students.

Outcomes
In 2021-22, 98% of students found success within six months of graduation, and of those employed, 98% are employed full-time. We’re so committed to our students’ success that our graduation rate is 81%, compared to an average 63% for private universities and 56% for public universities.

We are committed to transparent affordability because we value your family’s peace of mind above any bottom line. We offer:
  • A personalized four-year overview of your costs for first-year students and a three-year overview for transfer students.
  • No hidden fees.
