First-year

We have +30,000 students dispersed across our network of campuses, learning centres and research institutions.

As a multi-campus university, our courses are designed to make the most of the local industries and environment of each place, so the subject you choose will define where you live and learn.

For example, where better to study Marine Biology than on the beach at the Scottish Association for Marine Science? Or to study archaeology in the ancient archipelago of Orkney, unearthing history's secrets?

Funding your studies

US Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is accepted at UHI for eligible students undertaking on-campus study in Scotland.

Please note, FAFSA will not fund online study at overseas institutions.

Additional Information

During my time at UHI, I was fortunate to meet mentors and peers who became some of the most important people in my life. Through their encouragement, guidance and shared experiences, I became more confident not just in my research but as a person.
