Admission for freshman applicants is based on a holistic review including high school grades, national college admission test results, successful completion of the pre-college curriculum and a written essay.
Applicants with 24 or more transferrable courses post high school graduation with a 2.00 GPA will be considered for admission. Applicants with fewer than 24 hours must also submit a high school transcript and ACT/SAT scores.
The Visitor Center offers 30-minute information sessions followed by 90-minute campus tours every weekday at the University of Kentucky. The information session is designed to cover admission, scholarship, and housing information for prospective freshmen.
