Innovative education that goes beyond training, the classroom and other universities-that's the UNE way. UNE professors are world-class researchers, authors and Fulbright scholars. You'll get to know them personally, working side-by-side in the lab, on a research vessel, in the field, or across the globe. In addition to flagship health sciences disciplines, a full range of liberal arts programs makes UNE a unique participatory, educational environment. No matter what degree you pursue, the interdisciplinary learning at UNE will connect you with experiences to position you for success.

Application information

Find out about requirements, fees, and deadlines

As a first-year applicant to UNE, you will need to have completed high school (or the equivalency). We offer an Early Action deadline (nonbinding) for undergraduate applicants who desire early notification of their admission status. If you wish to be considered for Early Action, submit your completed application by December 1 to receive an admission decision by December 31. For a list of application requirements, test-optional policies and Early Assurance qualifications for first-year applicants, please visit

If you attended an institution of higher education for any period of time after graduating from a secondary school, please apply as a transfer student. We recommend that you submit your application as early as possible. Current semester transcripts may be required, but you should not wait for the conclusion of the semester to apply. Transfer students are eligible for both financial aid and merit-based scholarships.
