Find out about requirements, fees, and deadlines

Apply as a first-year student if you have not taken any college courses after completion of high school or the equivalent. While test scores are required, our main focus for admission purposes is your GPA, We also consider community involvement, leadership and other holistic variables in the admission process. The GPA of the middle 50% of our incoming class is 3.07-3.83. UNC considers test scores for scholarship and advising purposes.

Apply as a transfer student if you have taken any college coursework after high school graduation. If you have fewer than 24 college credits, we may take your high school GPA into consideration. Transfer students are encouraged to apply if they have a 2.0 cumulative GPA and are in good standing at their current or most recently attended institution.

At UNC, there is a sense of community that I think is rare to find on a college campus. Peale are incredibly warm - when I first toured, people all over campus welcomed us. I knew UNC was where I wanted to be."
