First-year

To apply as an incoming first-year student, complete the Common App and submit it with the required materials noted on the VCU Admissions website.

All first-year students who apply to VCU by the Nov. 1 scholarship deadline will be considered for university-level Presidential, Provost and Deans' scholarships. To be considered, applicants must submit their Common App materials and official high school transcript to the VCU Office of Admissions by Nov. 1. Learn more about first-year scholarships.

First-year students who apply to VCU by the regular decision deadline of Jan. 15 and have a high school GPA of at least 3.5 or are in the top 10% of their high school graduating class will qualify for VCU’s guaranteed university admission.
