Wake Tech is an open door-institution, meaning anyone with a high school diploma or equivalent can apply. Getting started at Wake Tech is easy. First-year students must complete an online application. SAT or ACT scores aren’t required but can be used for course placement. Submit your official high school transcript and complete the Residency Determination Service (RDS) to establish in-state or out-of-state tuition. You’ll also need to set up your Wake Tech account and complete New Student Orientation. Placement is based on transcripts, prior coursework, or assessments. Once admitted, meet with an advisor to plan your schedule and register.
