Application information

Find out about requirements, fees, and deadlines

First-year

First Year students will choose between the Early Decision, Early Action, and Regular Decision application deadlines. A complete First Year application includes the application form, an admission essay, SAT/ACT scores, a counselor recommendation, and an official high school transcript. We also recommend providing a teacher recommendation and an activities sheet. Keep in mind, we’re looking for students who are ready to try new things, explore diverse interests, and build the college experience that’s perfect for them.

Transfer

Applying to WC for Transfers: Transfer students are accepted on a rolling basis but are encouraged to apply by December 15 for the spring semester and July 15 for the fall semester. A complete Transfer application includes the application form, college transcript, high school transcript, Registrar's report, instructors evaluation, and students are encouraged to partake in an interview. Whether you’re coming from a community college or another four year institution, we are sure Washington College can give you the tools to find success.

Additional Information

We know every family’s prospect of paying for college tuition is influenced by varying levels of financial resources, and that family circumstances can change from year to year. The staff in our Office of Student Financial Aid strive to accommodate various economic situations, and will help create a manageable financial aid packet that incorporates loans, payment plans, and merit- and need-based scholarships. A very important part of the college search process includes learning more about the investment in your future.

Visit us

At Washington College, we know there’s nobody else in the world who’s quite like you. That’s why we tailor our tours for visitors as much as we tailor our education for students. Whether it’s your first or your fifth trip to campus, and whether you’re interested in athletics programs or antique letter presses, we’ll help you plan a visit that’s just your style. You can choose to participate in an information session and campus tour, or a counselor interview and a tour of Chestertown. Or why not do it all?
