Additional Information

FINANCIAL AID
WashU will not let cost be a barrier to your education. We are committed to meeting 100% of demonstrated financial need for all admitted students so you can be 100% focused on realizing your ambitions. WashU supports several initiatives that provide students with resources needed to engage fully in academic and campus life including:
  • Awards that range up to the full cost of attendance
  • No-loan packages for all admitted undergraduate students
  • Merit-based academic scholarships and need-based scholarships
  • Financial assistance counselors who work individually with families to understand their unique circumstances
  • First-year grants to help students cover the cost of necessary school expenses such as a computer, school supplies, residential hall supplies, and winter clothing.
Through the Gateway to Success initiative, we have a need-blind admission policy for all first-year applicants who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents. This means your ability to pay tuition won’t be considered as part of the admission decision process.

ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS
Students will be automatically considered for an academic scholarship in the division they apply to for admission.

SIGNATURE SCHOLAR PROGRAMS
WashU’s three Signature Scholar Programs—Danforth, Ervin, and Rodriguez Scholars—are housed within the Office of Scholar Programs (OSP), and bring together students from across campus to create unique academic and cultural communities.

Visit us

Nestled in the heart of St. Louis, WashU’s 169 acres are comprised of top-of-the-line buildings, laboratories, classrooms, and libraries—all of which foster a sense of community, creativity, and collaboration.

Prospective students and their families are welcome to visit our beautiful campus and get to know our community. Campus visits include an information session and a campus tour. Our information session provides an overview of WashU, our programs, and the admission and financial aid process.

Additionally, we host a variety of virtual experiences so you can connect with our campus and community from the comfort of your home. Attend an information session, take a virtual tour, speak with an admissions representative, meet current students, learn about our academic divisions, and begin to determine if WashU is the right fit for you.

I chose WashU because of the energetic, collaborative community that promotes such passion for learning.
