Current high school students and high school graduates who have not enrolled in a post-secondary institution should apply as a first year applicant. If you are taking or have taken courses at a college or university while in high school, you are considered a first year applicant. First-year applicants for the fall semester are urged to begin the application process early in their senior year.
Transfer admittance is open to any student who has attended a post-secondary institution after high school or enrolled with West Chester University on a non-degree basis. It is recommended that transfer applicants for the fall semester complete the application process early in the preceding spring semester. If applying for the spring semester, applicants should complete the application process early in the preceding fall semester. WCU does not have a minimum credit requirement to apply as a transfer student.
You can read and research colleges all you want, but if you think that WCU might be a good fit for you, the best way to experience it is through a campus tour. Our admissions office is open year round, and our student tour guides love showing off our beautiful campus. They’ll even make recommendations for lunch downtown! Join us and find out why so many of our students say they got to campus and “just knew.” If you're interest in checking out WCU's campus for yourself, view our visit options here.
