Western Connecticut State University requires that candidates for admission have a high school diploma from an accredited secondary school or an equivalency diploma. General Educational Development (GED) scores must be converted into a State of Connecticut Equivalency Diploma. The following guidelines must also be met:
Transfer applicants must have earned 12 or more college credits since their high school graduation, with only 3 allowed from CLEP-type exams. To apply, fill out the online undergraduate application and pay the $50.00 application fee, as well as send your official transcripts to complete their application for a decision. We will let you know if we need your secondary school record as well.
The following merit scholarships are available to incoming Fall 2021 first time students upon admission to WCSU. There is not a separate application process for these scholarships, incoming students who have been accepted by February 1st will be considered. In order to receive this scholarship, students must complete the Free Application for Student Aid (FAFSA) or the AACTUS if they are undocumented and all financial aid requirements.>
