Application information

Find out about requirements, fees, and deadlines

First-year

WIU is test optional. If your cumulative high school GPA is 2.75 or higher, you will be admitted. If your GPA is below a 2.74, we'll use our holistic application review process to reach a decision. Students below a 2.75 on a 4.0 GPA scale will have a holistic review for admission consideration for the Reach Program. A limited number of seats are available for students below a 2.75 GPA. If we are doing a holistic review, we will let you know what other information is required.

Transfer

We encourage transfer applicants, who may apply for fall, spring or summer semesters. Applicants need a 2.0 GPA, 24 credit hours and to be in good standing at their most recent college. Transfer students are eligible for transfer scholarships and will experience a campus where nearly 40% of undergraduates come as transfers.
