Zaytuna College is the first Muslim liberal arts college in the US. Our bachelor of arts program in Islamic Law & Theology is founded on an integral liberal arts curriculum, consisting of courses from both the Islamic and Western traditions of higher learning. Beginning with the trivium—courses in grammar, rhetoric, and logic—and an intensive study of the Arabic language, students progress through courses in theology, law, history, philosophy, science, and literature, while studying and reading classical texts from both traditions.

Additional Information

As a Muslim college, Zaytuna is an inheritor of a centuries-long tradition that enables and encourages students to pursue knowledge as a right, regardless of economic circumstances. This is why our financial aid policy removes economic barriers to seeking knowledge by offering any admitted student who cannot afford the cost of education a generous financial assistance package.

Muslims believe that truth can be found, supported by reason, and actually realized in a sanctified soul.
