Cairn University exists to educate students to serve Christ in the church, society, and the world as biblically minded, well-educated, and professionally competent men and women of character. Students will experience an education that is centered on Jesus Christ and the Word of God, give them a broad perspective on the world that is engaging and purposeful, and will change their lives by taking them in a direction that will make a difference in this world and the lives of those around them.

First-year

Applicants coming to Cairn University directly after graduating from high school (either public, private, or home schooled), or who have never attended college or university before are considered First Time students. First Time students are admitted to the University on a rolling basis.

Transfer

If you have already begun your education at an accredited college, university, or Bible institute, the courses you took will be evaluated for transfer credit to the academic programs at Cairn. The amount of transfer credit you will receive is determined upon receipt of your official transcript from the institution(s) where you have completed post-secondary work. You may also need to provide course descriptions and/or a course catalog from your previous school. Courses in progress cannot be evaluated until official documents are received.

Additional Information

While the cost of a Cairn University education is competitive with similar institutions, we realize you may need financial assistance to take this journey.  You are not alone. Over 90% of our full-time undergraduate students receive some form of financial assistance.

In additional to any state and/or federal aid a student receives, as well as additional scholarships, we offer full-tuition and merit scholarships as well as grants of up to $18,000 per year are offered by the Admissions Office to incoming students based upon high school and/or college academic records and other factors. Students are notified of their eligibility for these scholarships prior to or at the time of admission. Scholarships are renewable for each subsequent year of full-time enrollment for students who meet academic standards for renewal.

"I enjoy studying in a Christian academic community. The emphasis on Scripture in my major-specific courses in addition to my Bible and theology courses has strengthened my faith."
