First Year applicants are reviewed largely based on high school GPA in a college-prep curriculum, standardized test scores (if submitted), a personal recommendation, and a personal statement presenting your ability to effectively form and articulate thoughts in writing. We accept both SAT and the ACT scores, and also grant college credit for Advanced Placement test scores.
Transfer applicants should have a minimum 2.75 transferable GPA and a preferred completion of 30 transferable units. If you have less than 30 units your final high school transcripts will also be used in the admission decision. Completion of freshman English (college level) with a grade of "C" or better as well as successful completion of intermediate algebra is required.
You're looking for the perfect "fit" at a college, and there's no better way to find it than by seeing it for yourself! You can experience a lot during a campus visit — from meeting a professor to taking a personal tour, eating in the cafeteria, auditioning for a fine arts scholarship, or chatting with a coach. We're here to help you explore Cal Lutheran and figure out what's right for you.
"In choosing Cal Lutheran, you'll definitely get a holistic experience of having balance between being a student, actually getting to explore your identity, and discovering what you're passionate about."
