A first-year student at Jacksonville University is a student who is either graduating high school, or has not previously attended a college or university. If you are a high school student who has taken dual enrollment classes, you are considered a first-year student. Please ask your guidance counselor or school registrar office to submit official transcripts electronically to documents@ju.edu or in a sealed envelope mailed to the Office of Admissions. JU is a rolling admissions and test optional institution.
A transfer student at Jacksonville University is a student who has previously graduated from high school and enrolled at a different college or university. If you have less than 24 credits, we will need transcripts from both your current school and your high school. If you have more than 24 credits, we only need a transcript from your current school. We expect the student’s final 30 credit hours to be completed at JU, and accept a maximum of 60 semester hours or 95 quarter hours of transfer credit from a regionally-accredited community college. JU is rolling admissions.
