Keene State College

Keene State College

Other colleges talk about their distinctive programs. We have those – but we’re more interested in creating a distinctive experience, one you won’t get anywhere else. Our size, culture, and liberal arts focus mean your college life will be integrated, full of experiences that connect to shape your present and your future, with opportunities to explore and blend academic disciplines, internships, cocurricular activities, residential life, service, and more. You’re responsible for creating an education that serves you, and we have the tools and structure to support you while you do it.

Community and Connection

Our students are part of a community — residentially and academically — from the beginning.
Our Integrated Studies Program helps students explore their options and make connections, whether they’re already certain of their path or finding their way.

And Keene State College’s structure specifically provides for faculty and students from related disciplines to work together. This also presents new opportunities for students to explore the ways their areas of interest fit together, and for faculty to encourage students in some of our new programs across disciplines:

  • specializations in cybersecurity, software development and engineering, or computational mathematics;
  • the professional writing minor;
  • the sustainability minor;
  • public health;
  • child and youth physical activity;
  • and the first construction safety sciences program in the nation.
