Marshall University's roots run deep. We are named for the fourth chief justice of the United States, John Marshall, and were founded in 1837. With a main campus in the heart of Huntington, West Virginia, we're home to more than 13,000 students. Our university offers more than 150 majors, and features accredited schools of medicine, pharmacy and physical therapy, where class sizes average 21 students.
