At Millikin University, we take a unique approach to preparing students for successful careers. Performance Learning involves giving our students real-world experience beyond textbooks and lectures, and helping them start their careers before graduation. Their classrooms are recording studios, student-run coffee shops, research labs, and more. They graduate ready to achieve their dreams-and 97% of alumni secure a job or start graduate or professional school within six months of graduation.

First-year

First-year students are students who are currently attending high school or who have graduated high school but have not taken any college courses after high school. First-year students should submit the application and include transcripts. ACT or SAT test scores are encouraged, but not required. Recommendations are also welcomed, and in some cases, will be required.

Transfer

Transfer Students make up nearly 20% of the Millikin student body. Students who have taken any college courses after graduating from high school are considered transfer students and should complete a transfer application for admission. Be sure to have official transcripts from EVERY college attended sent to Millikin.

"My Millikin experience has changed me for the better. I’m wiser. I have more confidence. I’m a leader. And, I’m more passionate than ever. I look at college as an opportunity to grow into a better person, and that’s what I’ve done since I’ve arrived at Millikin. I will continue to grow and spread my leadership throughout my city, my institution, and the world.”
