Find out about requirements, fees, and deadlines
As a first-year applicant to UNE, you will need to have completed high school or the equivalency. We offer a non-binding Early Action deadline for undergraduate applicants who desire early notification of their admission status. If you wish to be considered for Early Action, submit your completed application by November 15 to receive an admission decision by January 15.
For a list of application requirements, our test policy, and graduate and professional progression qualifications, please visit www.une.edu/admissions/undergrad/how-to-apply.
If you attended an institution of higher education for any period of time after graduating from a secondary school, please apply as a transfer student. We recommend that you submit your application as early as possible. Current semester transcripts may be required, but you should not wait for the conclusion of the semester to apply. Transfer students are eligible for both financial aid and merit-based scholarships.
A UNE education is a proven investment in your future. Zippia ranks UNE first in Maine for graduates getting jobs, and the Brookings Institution ranked UNE first among Maine universities and colleges for its ability to increase students' career earnings. >
