First-year

IE University welcomes applications from all around the world. Over 75% of our students are international and they represent more than 130 different countries, which enriches the student experience and fosters reflection, debate and the exchange of ideas. If you have just graduated from high school or have attended university with up to 29 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) credits recognized, you are considered Freshman Student at IEU.

Transfer

Every year, IE University welcomes students from other universities who decide to continue their undergraduate studies with us. Transfer students enrich campus life, and the learning experience of our entire university community. To enter to IE University as a transfer student, you must have at least 30 recognized ECTS (and up to 96 ECTS). To be officially enrolled, all students must comply with the requirements established by the Spanish Ministry of Education.

Studying at IE is a significant investment of time and money that requires prior planning:

Our Financial Aid Office (financialaid.ieu@ie.edu) will inform you about the different financing and scholarship options available as well as assist you through the application process. Our goal is to guide each student so that they find the financial solution that best suits their profile and economic needs. We will help you develop a solid financial plan that will allow you to meet your professional goals. 

Additionally, the Student Services Department (ieustudentservices@ie.edu) will help you to make your transition to Spain as smooth as possible. Our team supports incoming students with immigration and relocation processes (including housing, opening a bank account or contract health insurance) so that you can focus on studying and enjoying life at university.
