First-year

Our holistic, student-centered review takes into account every aspect of your application: your academic performance and potential and out-of-class activities and the depth of commitment you have shown to them. We seek students who demonstrate critical thinking, community engagement, and perseverance. First-year applicants have graduated from high school or completed a high school equivalency exam. Students undertaking college coursework as part of their high school programs, or in order to satisfy high school diploma requirements, should apply as a first-year student.

Transfer

A transfer applicant is any student who has graduated from high school or earned a high school equivalence and upon matriculation to Brandeis University will have completed at least one semester of credit (12 credits) earned at one or more accredited institutions, including four-year private and public colleges and universities, community and junior colleges, and international institutions.

We offer many different scholarships and fellowships, a federally supported work-study program and opportunities to work on and off campus. Take a close look, and you'll discover that a Brandeis education isn't just an incredible value. It can also be a lot more affordable than you might think.

The best way to get to know Brandeis is to experience it for yourself. The Office of Admissions offers in-person campus visits and virtual visit opportunities throughout the year. We encourage prospective students and families to visit campus, sign up for a virtual visit, or view our online virtual tour. Additionally, interviews are available to high school seniors.
