The process to apply as a first-year student begins with an application. To complete your application, you'll need to submit your high school transcript (and college transcript if you have taken dual-credit), and SAT or ACT score (if you elect to submit them). As a test-optional institution for admission and scholarship, you may submit an essay or graded paper in place of a standardized test score. Letter(s) of recommendation are optional. For more information, visit www.transy.edu/admission/apply.
Transylvania welcomes students who have previously or are currently enrolled in another college or university. The process to apply as a transfer student begins with submission of your application. Pictures can show you our beautiful campus, but they only tell part of the story. The daily campus visit experience includes a 90-minute walking tour of campus with a current student and a one-on-one session with an admissions counselor. During the academic year, many optional activities may be added to your experience including visiting a class and meeting with a faculty member or coach. If you prefer a group setting, attend a preview day on campus. Schedule your visit at www.transy.edu/visit.
