Trinity University First Year applicants are defined as students enrolled in their final year of high school or students who have completed high school and not yet enrolled in college. When the Trinity University Admissions Committee evaluates candidates, four main areas are assessed: academic record, essay, extracurricular activities, and recommendations from guidance counselors and teachers. Submission of standardized test scores is optional. Trinity will continue to review and consider test scores for those applicants who want to submit them, but any applicant can also choose to be evaluated only on high school grades, curriculum rigor, essays, recommendation letters, achievements, interviews, and contributions to their school and community.

Trinity University Transfer applicants are defined as students who have completed at least 12 credit hours of full-time or part time college work post high school graduation. Typically, in order to be considered competitive for admission, students should have at least a 3.0 in full-time college coursework. Transfer applicants must submit a final official high school transcript, SAT or ACT test scores (or TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo for international students), and an official college transcript, plus instructor evaluation, registrar’s report, and mid-year report (if applicable).
