Congratulations from Common App!

It’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of college applications, but we hope you’ll take time to celebrate. Look at what you've've applied to college!

You’ve put in a lot of hard work to complete your college applications. We want to make sure you know that work has not gone unnoticed. Applying to college is a strong commitment to your future. Congratulations!

Now that you know what's happening with your application, here are few other things you can do:

  1. Complete your FAFSA and apply for scholarships. While you wait for college decisions to come in, make sure you’re prepared financially. Visit our Financial Aid Resources tab to learn how to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). You can also research scholarships by connecting your Common App to our friends at Scholar Snapp.
  2. Check in with your mentors. Now is a great time to reconnect with your counselors, advisors and mentors to make sure you’re on track to finish your academic year on a high note. If you need extra support and qualify for a Common App fee waiver, Strive for College can help. Strive offers free, one-on-one virtual counseling to students in need of support.
  3. Share your story! Saying things out loud makes them happen. Tell the world why you're excited about college, and tell them why you're taking this big step forward. Visit our friends at Better Make Room to share your story and access more tools and tips for going to college.

And, just because you’re done with your applications doesn’t mean Common App can’t still help! Be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook - we have lots of valuable information to share throughout the year to help you take that next step.

Last, but not least, be sure to take a moment to thank those in your life who helped you get through the process. Your teachers, counselors, parents and friends are cheering for you too. Don't forget to thank them for their help, and let them know you appreciate it.

Whatever your next step may be, look back and be proud of all you’ve achieved so far. We’ll be rooting for you every step of the way!
